Encouraged by a challenge grant of $250,000 from the Joseph F. McCrindle Foundation, the New York Youth Symphony is undertaking a campaign with the goal of increasing its endowment and reserve funds to $6 million. Thus far, $5.2 million has been raised toward our goal.
The primary purpose of the New York Youth Symphony’s Next Generation Fund Campaign is to assure the Symphony’s ability to perform its vital mission for future generations of musicians by increasing endowment income to an amount adequate to meet the rising costs of its programs while ensuring that no deserving student is turned away from participating in those programs for lack of financial support.
