Programs
Through the New York Youth Symphony students between the ages of 12-22 can participate in five tuition-free music programs. These include the award-winning Orchestra, as well as the Chamber Music, Jazz, Composition, and Apprentice Conducting programs. In addition, the First Music and First Art commissioning programs allow the New York Youth Symphony to highlight the amazing talent of young composers and visual artists from around the United States.
The Chamber Program is an excellent opportunity for players to enhance their musical abilities, improve their performance confidence, and develop interpersonal skills within small group settings.

The New York Youth Symphony's Jazz Band is a 17-member brass, wind, and percussion ensemble dedicated to studying, rehearsing, and performing classic big band jazz music, often featuring world-renowned soloists and new works by emerging jazz composers.
