Benjamin Grosvenor

Pianist Benjamin Grosvenor won the Keyboard Final of the BBC Young Musician of the Year in 2004, when he was just eleven years old. Born in 1992, he began studying the piano with his mother at the age of six. Four years later, he became the youngest ever winner of the the Essex Young Musician of the Year and the European Piano Teachers' Association Trophy. Engagements in 2004-05 included a recital debut in London’s Wigmore Hall and a tour of Scotland with The Scottish Ensemble. The following summer, Mr. Grosvenor made his London concerto debut with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields at the Barbican, and earlier this season, he made his Royal Albert Hall debut with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in a concert celebrating the 60th anniversary of the United Nations. Currently enrolled at the Royal Academy of Music, Mr. Grosvenor will perform at the Louvre in Paris in 2006.
