
Thank you for your interest in being a part of the 2013-2014 New York Youth Symphony's Composition program.
Interviews for the Apprentice Conductin program will be held mid-September 2013. Applicants will be contacted in early-September to schedule their interview time.
The Apprentice Conducting program generally meets weekly from October to May on Sundays between 12-1:30pm at The DiMenna Center. They are also asked to attend a certain number of Orchestra Rehearsals held from 2-6pm each Sunday, Chamber Reading Sessions and Orchestra concerts each concert cycle. Most program activities are scheduled on Sunday afternoons.
Age Eligibility: In order to participate in a NYYS Program the applicant's birthdate must fall between November 24, 2001 and May 25, 1991, inclusive. Please do not apply if you are outside of these dates as you will not be eligible for the program and we are not able to refund your application fee.

Fees: The application fee for the 2013-2014 season is $75. In addition to the application fee, there is a registration fee upon acceptance into the program. Limited work study subsidies are available. Please contact the administrative office if you are intersted in work study opportunities.
